Ashishma Nakarmi was born in Kathmandu on 22^nd November. She was raised in a musical family.  Her father, Mr. Mana Raj Nakarmi, is a talented and popular Tabala player and a Music Composer. Inspired by her father, she started her career with Newari Music Videos and Movies. Some of her popular performances include Nyalla Byan, Papu Madumha Jhanga, Taremam, Hisimadu, etc. .

Her passion, hard work, discipline and sincerity have established her as a popular actress in Nepal Bhasa Film Industry. She went to the US for undergraduate studies in 2007 and returned to Nepal in 2012. She had shot couple of  music videos while in the US and several after returning to Nepal as well.

Recently she has been working hard to get established in the Nepali film Industry as an actress. She has already completed 3 Nepali movies and her debut movie ANTARAL is releasing on 3^rd of Jestha (May 17^th 2013). She says she has a great faith on the movie and is looking forward to win her audiences heart.
