Dev Kumar Shrestha, popularly called as "Devu" was born on 4th August 1976 at Rampur, Chitwan. Currently he is living in Leuven, Belgium on professional duty.

His interest includes sports, singing and acting. He recorded his first music album titled "Amazing" in 2006 on his own lyrics and composition. After doing some music videos, he also appeared in commercial ads e.g. Jagadamba Cement. In 2007, he released his second music album titled "Up Date" along with his elder brother Chiju Shrestha.

Because of his keen interests in Nepali music/culture, he has organized Nepali Cultural Programs in Belgium many times. His film career start to begin with chorus dancer in the movie "Zameen" and small role in the movie "Sapanako Naulo Sansar". But his debut as a lead actor in nepali film turned into reality when he met director Suresh Darpan Pokhrel. Then he decided to act as well as produce the film under his own banner "3 Brothers". The movie is titled "3 Lovers".
